Dr. -Ing. Niklas Trautmann from aqua & waste International GmbH was invited to present the ReWAdd project at IFAT Munich 2026 on the 6th of May, 2026 as part of the Water4All Session, “Water4All-Partnership – European Innovations and Solution”.

With rising fertilizer prices and declining fertilizer production in the EU, nutrient recovery from wastewater is becoming increasingly important. Safe removal of emerging contaminants takes equal importance in this context. ReWAdd explores the combination of innovative process technologies for resource recovery as well as removal of emerging contaminants. Dr. Trautmann presented the project’s relevance, aims and expected impacts within this context on the Blue Stage.

This session was organised by the German funding agency’s project coordinator, Project Management Agency Karlsruhe (PTKA) and provided a valuable opportunity to connect with other projects and stakeholders and explore synergies to maximize project impact.
